I busted my ass too! All the years I spent learning my trade are now useless. I’m a mechanic with worn out hands and too much “attitude” for management.

The only advise I can give is to “NEVER QUIT, NEVER GIVE UP” When your start to feel sorry for yourself watch one of those shows on cable about being locked up in a Max Prison, that’s what I do. Makes my life feel down right cherry.

Case in point. Virgina State Delegate Lionel Spruill introduced a bill Tuesday to ban displaying replicas of human genitalia on vehicles, calling it a safety issue because it could distract other drivers.

He is refering to the plastic “Bull Nuts” trailer hitch ornament that is all the rage in Redneck havens throughout the country.

He said the idea came from a constituent whose young daughter spotted an example of the trailer hitch adornment and asked her father to explain it. ( Gee honey It’s just some trailer trash trying to keep up with the Good O’L Boys)

“I didn’t know what to tell her,’” Spruill said the constituent told him before Spruill vowed to stop such displays.

“I said, ‘Sir, I’m going to be a laughingstock, but I’m going to do it,’” he said.

This is the same shithead who proposed a bill banning baggy pants that show a persons boxers. Get a life will you!

Welcome to Generation WTF. I started this blog to give me a place to Rant, Vent, and share my views with the rest of the world.

What is Generation WTF? The Baby Boomer generation ended in 1964. (12/25/1964 is my birthday) Generation X began in 1969-1970 Those of us born in between are basically nameless. But we are a special group. We have been described by people who study such things as the first generation to be worse off than are parents (long term job security, and entrepreneurial opportunities) Our parents, and older siblings in the Baby Boomer generation were able to work hard at learning a trade, get a higher education, and have a stable career. They were able to work hard at a business and compete on a level defined by the local markets.

Generation WTF was the first group to get “Downsized”, and “Corporate Raided” in the beginning of our careers. We were “Walmarted” and “Circuit Cityed” out of business before we could get our momentum up.

WE missed out on all the “free love”, and cheap weed of the 60’s and70’s, but were not born into a technology intense life taken for granted by generation x. We have to work hard to learn new technologies and adapt from the life we were raised to expect, to the cut throat world of today.

Generation x doesn’t have a clue what its like to live without video games, cd players, microwaves, and cordless phones.

The Baby Boomers are going suck the Social Security system dry and become the single most most powerful demographic in history.
